Sask Liberal Leader Jeff Walters said, “Ultimately, if we are to realistically fulfill our duty to help bring the greatest good to the greatest number of people then a reimagining of how to do exactly this is essential:
He says he is looking forward to finding a new name that best reflects the values and beliefs of this reimagining.
Walters says the party has suffered through some lean years over the past two decades and the motion to initiate a name change passed by a wide margin with 88 per cent voting in favor.
Walters describes the name change as a there is a singular opportunity and suggests this is the time to take the province back which will require the creation of a true movement.
A public name search will be organized by the party within the next several weeks.
