A Canadian veneer stone company based in Saskatoon has received funding support from Prairies Economic Development Canada, which is being used partially to create new jobs.
Innovative Stonecraft has received $137,500 under PrairiesCan’s Jobs and Growth Support Fund.
PrairiesCan gave the company the ability to scale up both production and marketing of their products, as well as purchase and install new manufacturing equipment.
A news release from Innovative Stonecraft said most importantly, the funding allowed for an increase of employment.
Five new full-time positions were created, and in the next two years, the company plans to add 10 additional positions.
Dan Vandal, Minister for PrairiesCan, says that our government is continuing to make smart investments in Saskatchewan’s manufacturing sector, creating jobs and environmentally friendly, high quality construction products.
