On February 17th, Beauval RCMP conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with people believed to be involved in an ongoing drug investigation.
Once the suspects’ identities were confirmed, a man and woman, both 41 years old, were arrested. The vehicle was searched, and RCMP officers say they found 123 grams of crack cocaine.
A failed roadside breath sample from the driver resulted in the vehicle being towed and impounded. The pair were charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, while the woman faces an additional charge of impaired operation exceeding 80 milligrams while operating a motor vehicle.
