The Meewasin Trail visit numbers of 2022 have been released.

Last year the trail had about 2.32 million visits, up 75,000 from 2021.

Several areas on the trail were the most popular, and the River Landing topped the list with nearly 624,000 visits.

Meewsin Valley authority say usage numbers are used to make decisions on trail upgrades and planning for new areas of expansion.

Andrea Lafond, Meewasin CEO, says their next target area is located downtown.
