Although Saskatoon Public Schools and the Saskatoon Indian and Metis Friendship Centre have collaborated for years, an official Memorandum of Agreement has been signed to formalize that partnership. Some of the future work outlined includes a youth leadership council, land-based learning, after school recreation and wellness programming, language programming and an Elders in the classroom program.
The SIMFC is a non-profit organization which supports First Nations, Metis and Inuit cultural distinctiveness by providing community development services for all ages.
