A second person has been charged with being an accessory after the fact in connection with the death of Wendy Bird.
The body of the 24-year-old woman from Prince Albert was found near Highway 16—-not far from Maymont on Sunday, October 16th.
A few days later (October 20th), 25-year-old Dustin Cookman-Watts from North Battleford was charged with second degree murder. Eighteen-year-old Melissa Kaponyas from Biggar was charged with being an accessory after the fact.
Earlier this week on Tuesday, RCMP arrested a 19-year-old woman from North Battleford. Cassidy Kiskotagan is also charged with one count of accessory after the fact.
The RCMP Major Crime Unit is continuing the investigation.
