In honour of National Truth and Reconciliation Day, the Saskatoon Tribal Council is holding a free Pow Wow and concert tomorrow. The Pow Wow to honour the survivors of the residential school system and their families is from noon to 5 p.m. at SaskTel Centre, followed by a concert featuring Canadian country star, George Canyon beginning at 7. Everyone is invited and the STC is asking everyone to wear orange as we continue to Act on Reconciliation. It’s also Orange Shirt Day tomorrow. The goal is to raise awareness of the inter-generational impacts of residential schools and to promote the concept of Every Child Matters.
