GasBuddy.com reports that the average retail gas prices in Saskatoon have risen by 12.9 cents per litre in the past week. That’s compared to a national average increase of 5.4 cents a litre, for an average cost at $1.57.19 on Monday. In Saskatoon yesterday (Mon), the average was $1.61.1 and today (Tues) in Saskatoon, it’s $1.64.1. Regina’s price Tuesday morning averaged at $1.61.7, and in Prince Albert, $1.64.9.
Comparing September 26th of this year to last year, the price is just over 30 cents a litre higher, and 10.8 cents higher than a month ago. GasBuddy.com spokesperson, Patrick De Haan, says, “One of the longest gas price declines on record has finally come to an end after over a dozen weeks, with gas prices shooting up in several regions amidst myriad refinery issues from the West Coast to the Great Lakes and in between.
