The WHL pre-season kicked off Tuesday as the Saskatoon Blades took on their arch rivals the Prince Albert Raiders.
All the action took place at the brand new Jim Neilson Sports Complex in Big River. The 42 million dollar sports complex and school is officially open.
The facility is named in honour of the beloved National Hockey League defenceman.
It includes a 1,500-seat arena and a Grades 6-to-12 school plus several other amenities.
