Four days of Saskatoon Blades’ training camp came to an end Sunday afternoon with Team Keller, named after former Bridge City Bunch player and assistant coach Ryan Keller, winning the Kirkness Cup, named in honour of the former popular Blades’ equipment and dressing room assistant.
Left winger Brandon Lisowsky, who scored 33 goals for the Blue and Gold last season and was drafted by Toronto over the summer, was on the winning squad and talked about the significance of winning the scrimmage tournament…..
Saskatoon head coach Brennan Sonne said training camp was “really, really good”…..
The Blades start the pre-season schedule Monday afternoon against the Prince Albert Raiders at the official opening of the Jim Neilson Sports Complex on the Big River First Nation. Head coach Sonne says the Bridge City Bunch playing in this game will be cool…..
