In a Facebook post, the Lakeridge Community Association has announced they’ve been granted nearly $34,000 dollars in federal funding to upgrade their pickleball and tennis courts.
The funding is provided through the Canada Community Revitalization Fund. Financial support was also provided by the City of Saskatoon, the Lakeridge Community Association and community members.
For more than 20 years, the Lakeridge Community Association has owned and operated the tennis court area of Crocus Park, the only public park in the Lakeridge neighbourhood.
The Crocus Park project will see the removal of the existing asphalt to make way for a new asphalt surface along with new nets and posts being installed.
New court lines will also be painted.
