Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board says the COVID-19 employer cost relief measures are now closed. Board chair Gord Dobrowolsky explains that during the pandemic, the WCB initiated temporary cost relief measures to cover employers’ COVID claim costs. Workplace COVID-19 injury claims are still being accepted under the communicable disease policy, but the temporary cost relief measures are no longer available to employers. The WCB has provided more than $8.5-million to employers for pandemic-related claims.
