A new clinic in North Battleford has opened that will provide addictions services and supports.
The Rapid Access to Addictions Medicine (RAAM) clinic provides quick access to specialized addictions treatment services. A team of physicians, nurses and addiction counsellors will be at the clinic to help those in need.
The Saskatchewan government is providing $2.2 million to launch the new RAAM clinic and to support clinics in Prince Albert, Saskatoon and Regina. PA’s clinic was the first to open in 2019.
RAAM clinics have opened up in other parts of Canada including Ontario and Manitoba which have reduced emergency visits to hospitals and have improved outcomes for patients by reducing wait times.
