Starting tonight you can enjoy the lights of the BHP Enchanted Forest.
It is now open every night from 5:30 pm to 10 pm until Sunday January 9th at the Saskatoon Forest Farm Park.
There is a brand new light display this year sponsored by Orano. It is “Characters of the Enchanted Forest” and was unveiled at last night’s Light Up the Forest event. BHP Billiton is the title sponsor for their 12th year.
Funds from last year’s successful BHP Enchanted Forest enabled the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation to build the Prairie Dog Exhibit, start construction on the Prairie Butterfly House, opening this spring, renovate the Affinity Learning Centre which will open soon and they continue to work on building the bears a new home.
The Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation used their share of the net proceeds to help fund the Equip for Excellence Campaign to purchase much-needed equipment for the operating room.
There are more than fifty community minded sponsors which make the Enchanted Forest possible. Last year they broke an attendance record with 92,000 visitors with 40 per cent of those folks considered tourists.
