Last week’s Direct-Trials Event in Ottawa gave the Tim Horton’s Canadian Olympic Curling Trials their first “home” team when Matt Dunstone’s Regina foursome qualified for the November 20-28 event at SaskTel Centre.
The schedule for the Trials was released Wednesday by Curling Canada with Dunstone to play Mike McEwen of Winnipeg in their first game on the opening Saturday evening. There are still more Saskatchewan foursomes with a shot at catching a berth in Saskatoon, with the Pre-Trials at the end of October in Nova Scotia. Those quartets are skipped by Penny Barker of Moose Jaw, Sherry Anderson of Saskatoon and Colton Flasch of Saskatoon. In addition, Curling Canada announced that single-draw tickets go on sale Friday morning through the SaskTel Centre Box Office. Following is the news release from Curling Canada…..
