Some of the usual suspects were atop the leaderboard after the first round of the Auto Clearing-Saskatoon Senior Men’s Golf Championship following Tuesday’s opening round at Moon Lake.
Colin Coben of Delisle and Rick Hallberg of Weyburn topped the field of 92 competitors with two under-par 70s. One shot back is Ray Krienke of Kelvington while George Janson of Saskatoon was another stroke back at even-par 72. Meanwhile, Rick Hillestad of Saskatoon topped the Super Seniors Division, for competitors aged 70-and-over, carding a one-over 73. That’s three shots better than Doug Piper of Saskatoon. The three-day, 54-hole tournament continues Wednesday with Round 2 at Moon Lake. Following are the leaderboards…..
