There’s no place like home…and Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz isn’t the only one to say that!
The same goes for Derek Hulak, who is joining his alma mater, the U of S men’s hockey Huskies, as an assistant coach. The 32-year-old Saskatoon product was announced in that position Thursday after retiring from the playing ranks that saw him play five seasons of major junior…three-and-a-half of them with the Blades…four seasons of C-I-S hockey with the Dogs and seven-and-a-half seasons of pro hockey, most of that in the American League. The Huskies’ new coaching staff has Mike Babcock as head coach, Brandin Cote as associate coach and Hulak.
