Viterra is starting construction on a 34,000 tonne facility that will be located a short drive northeast of its current elevator.

The new Viterra terminal will be about three times the size of the current facility. It will also be situated on the CP Rail line, while the current elevator is on the CN line.

The company is planning for an early 2022 completion date.

Biggar is located about 90 kilometres west of Saskatoon.
