As if COVID isn’t enough, we are now into flu season. Flu clinics open Monday. Saskatchewan Health says early vaccination means you are better protected. The vaccine is available through public health clinics across the province, some physician and nurse practitioner offices and in local pharmacies. Anyone six months and older can receive the flu vaccine. Children age six months to five years must be immunized at a public health clinic, or by a physician or nurse practitioner.
Getting vaccinated is especially important for people at high-risk of influenza complications (pregnant women, young children, elderly, persons with underlying health conditions, immune-compromised) and their caregivers.
Bring your Saskatchewan health card with you to receive your immunization.
Be prepared to wait an additional 15 minutes after receiving your immunization.
