The province has announced the site for the new integrated health facility to replace the Weyburn General Hospital. The 35 bed facility will include a 10-bed, inpatient mental health unit and will be located on King Street on the north side of the city. The province committed $2.5 million this year to advance work on the project. The new hospital brings together services which are currently in different locations around the city. There will also be modernized emergency services. Construction is expected to begin by 2022 and be completed in late 2023.
