A former Assiniboia RCMP Officer has pled guilty to Criminal Breach of Trust.
In December of 2015 Jason St. Pierre led an initiative to raise funds for a community charity. In January of 2017 it was discovered there were no funds in the bank account belonging to the charity, $16,000 had been withdrawn and the account was closed.
St. Pierre was then a part of a Code of Conduct investigation by the RCMP and was suspended with pay. He later resigned in June of 2018. On May 22, 2019 St. Pierre was charged with Criminal Breach of Trust. St. Pierre pled guilty Friday at the Queen’s Bench in Moose Jaw, and was arraigned to be sentenced August 21st.
