The sale covers Moody’s four dealerships in Saskatoon, Perdue, Kindersley and Unity.
Moody’s Equipment was first established in Perdue in 1966.
“On behalf of the Moody family, I would like to extend my thanks to all of you who have represented the Moody name proudly over the years,” said Tom Moody, who has worked for the family business since 1976. “Your hard work and dedication to the company has been appreciated.”
Robertson Implements is based in Swift Current and now has 11 locations in west-central and southwest Saskatchewan, as well as southeast Alberta. The fifth-generation family-owned New Holland dealership has been in business since 1921.
“Both organizations (Robertson and Moody’s) have been founded on family values and have extensive knowledge and history in the agriculture industry,” said Doug Robertson, president and chief executive officer. “The company similarities should make for a very smooth transition.”
In a news release, Robertson Equipment stated all existing shortline dealer contracts remains in place. There will also be expanded product offerings for commercial-grade push mowers, riding mowers and zero-turns.
In a separate deal, Moody’s Equipment locations in North Battleford and Lloydminster were sold to Novlan Brothers of Paradise Hill.
