Saskatchewan residents now have access to their personal health information online. That means being able to check out lab test results, medical imaging reports, hospital admissions and clinical visit history. It’s called MySaskHealthRecord.
Rural and Remote Health Minister Warren Kaeding describes it as a secure website that is a game changer, giving patients the information they need to play an active role in their health care. The online records are open to Saskatchewan residents 18 and older. You have to go through a few hoops to register, to make sure you are who you say you are. You will need a valid Saskatchewan health card, and your driver’s licence or SGI photo ID card.
Kaeding explains that once you have registered, you will also be able to add your own personal information, set medication and appointment reminders and upload information from wearable devices such as activity trackers. You can click here to find out more or to register.
