Saskatoon Police patrol officers, the Air Support Unit and Conservation officers searched the riverbank yesterday but did not spot any cougars.
They are warning the public that they and other wildlife do populate the river system and to be aware.
That after Saskatoon Police were called at 2:40 Sunday afternoon to a report of two cougars in Meewasin Park north of the pavilion in the 2700 block of Spadina Crescent East.
Mountain lions, or cougars, are not uncommon in Saskatchewan are aften spotted along rivers in the province.
