The CHL and NHL Central Scouting have announced the rosters for the 2019 Sherwin-Williams CHL/NHL Top Prospects game which will take place in Red Deer on Wednesday, January 23rd. 40 players have been selected from all three of the CHL’s leagues. Out of those 40 players, one Blades player has been selected to play for Team Orr in the game and that would be centre Kirby Dach. The Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta native has 16 goals and 30 assists in 39 games played so far this season. Dach won’t be the only player on Team Orr from a Saskatchewan WHL franchise, Prince Albert Raider Brett Leason has also been selected to play for Team Orr which will be coached by Hockey Night in Canada analyst and former NHL goaltender Kelly Hrudey, Robyn Regehr and Marc Habscheid. Team Orr’s opposing team for the 23rd of January will be Team Cherry coached by Ron MacLean of Hockey Night in Canada, Dave Hunter and Brent Sutter. The 40 players were selected by NHL clubs to compete in the annual showcase of draft eligible players. This will be the 24th year the showcase has run. Below are the rosters of the two teams.
