The provincial NDP released photos Thursday of Lloyd Rogina’s home and land next to the Regina Bypass. The pictures show Rogina’s home with cracks in the drywall, doors sticking and separation of the foundation. Rogina says he believes the damages are due to heavy haul trucks driving by frequently. On Wednesday Rogina met with the Minister of Highways Lori Carr. Carr says the issue will have to be settled between Rogina and the Regina Bypass Design Builders.
Last year, Rogina wrote to the Minister of Highways looking for help to cover the costs of the damages. Rogina, who is retired, said he’s been spending his retirement dollars to pay for the repairs.
