Saskatchewan credit unions grew system assets by 3.9 per cent in 2017 to $22.4 billion. Combined, they returned over $8.1 million to members in the form of patronage equity, contributions and dividends. Last year, credit unions had total loans outstanding of $18.2 billion. More than 476 thousand people are members and 96 thousand non-members do business with a credit union. There are 44 credit unions in the province.
