A Sunday afternoon fire has been deemed arson and the Saskatoon Fire Department says their investigator has pegged damage at $50,000.

The Fire Department says a demolition order has been posted and the property owner has 30 days to level what remains of the building.

The 911 call came in shortly before 2 o’clock on Sunday afternoon from the 300 block of Avenue Q South.

Fire officials urge members of the public to report suspicious activity whether it is an emergency or not.
