There is a brand new baby roaming around Wanuskewin. A baby bison has arrived; on Earth Day no less. The female is the first born of the herd that the park welcomed from the United States last December. More are expected to be born this spring. Eleven genetically-pure Plains bison were brought here. Wanuskewin is closed due to COVID-19 so everyone will have to wait until phase four of the Re-Open Saskatchewan strategy before they can return to the park.
