A Saskatoon man is facing firearms charges after he was brought down by police and found to be carrying a loaded firearm.
Last night around 10 p.m. officers were called to a backyard of a residence after receiving a complaint of a man in the yard.
Officers then confronted the man who fled on foot and attempted to climb into another yard.
As the man was climbing over the fence, a police dog was deployed and bit the man.
The man continued to fight which then a conducted energy weapon also known as a tazer was deployed to gain control of the man.
Once police arrested the man, they found the man to be in possession of a loaded firearm.
The man was then transported to hospital to have his injury attended.
