“To Those Who Took the Missing” is producing concrete results. The campaign went live in May on radio stations like those at Saskatoon Media Group including CJWW, 92-9 The Bull and 98 Cool, as well as social media via Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers social media. Saskatoon Police Constable Ryan Ehalt says a second letter was released and started airing August 28th.

Since the campaign began, they have received over a 100 tips on these historical cases and some of those tips contain very detailed information. The tips are then distributed across the province to the various police agencies involved in Saskatchewan’s 131 historical missing persons cases with some of the information applying to unsolved homicides.

Constable Ehalt says he was recently in Kamloops sharing the information and the ideas generated in Saskatchewan with policing agencies there.
