The forensic autopsy conducted yesterday on the human remains discovered outside of North Battleford are that of Tiki Brook-Lyn Laverdiere.
Her family has been notified. 25 year old Laverdiere had her last contact with her family via text on May 1st which is also the last day she was seen in North Battleford. Police were notified May 12th. On June 10th RCMP announced her disappearance was the result of foul play and would be investigated as a homicide.
RCMP officers executed search warrants in a number of locations in North Battleford over several days in June.
A North Battleford RCMP Police Dog Services Unit discovered human remains Thursday in a rural area outside of the city. The local detachment and the RCMP Major Crime Unit had been conducting a ground search in relation to the ongoing investigation.
Laverdiere, who is from Edmonton, had been in the North Battleford and Thunderchild First Nation areas for a funeral on April 27th.
