Country Thunder in Craven will offer more than just four straight days of country music. Gerry Krochak Director of Marketing and Communications with Country Thunder says there will be a couple of new attractions with a sling shot ride and a beach volleyball tournament.  Krochak says over the four days, 80 thousand tickets are expected to be scanned at the gate. The weather also looks like it will cooperate for the annual event with highs expected to be above plus 30 for the weekend. Krochak reminds those attending the festival to bring sunscreen and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.  General admission single-day tickets and general admission four-day passes are still available along with camping spaces. Chris Stapleton of Lexington, Kentucky will close out the 2019 festival on Sunday night while Jake Owen headlines tonight (fri).
