Close to a thousand breakfasts were served in the rain at the City of Saskatoon’s Annual Civic Pancake Breakfast.
The city says about 95 kilograms of compostible materials were used including dishes, utensils napkins and cups while the event produced about 25 kilograms in recyclable materials.
Officials say less than 8 kilograms or about 6-percent of what was produced is waste destined for the landfill.
