An unconscious man in his 30’s was pulled from the scene of a fire this morning by Saskatoon Fire crews. The call came in around 7 o’clock about an apartment fire at 124 Avenue P South. On arrival, crews saw heavy black smoke pouring from a window on the second floor. Within 10 minutes, firefighters determined the exact location of the fire, where they found the unconscious man. He was treated by Fire Department Paramedics and then taken to hospital by ambulance with undetermined injuries. The fire was extinguished and contained to one suite. It’s believed to have been the result of arson. Damage is pegged at $30 thousand. Residents were eventually allowed to return to their suites.
