Saskatoon Police are reminding people to be vigilant after receiving two reports of fraudulent internet scams.
Both cases reported being contacted through Facebook about collecting prize money. In each case, the victim made multiple transactions totalling over $70 thousand dollars.
Police remind people that known lottery and sweepstakes companies will never request money up front in order to receive a prize and that any fees associated with winnings will never be paid through a money service such as Western Union or MoneyGram.
