Forbes.com has mapped out the 38 cheapest places to travel in 2019 and, guess who is on that list? There are only two Canadian centres on it: Montreal and Saskatoon. Forbes asked what they call, “experts and influencers,” their picks for the upcoming year. Stefanie Waldek, a New York-based writer and editor advises Americans to take advantage of the strong U.S. dollar and head north; specifically, to Saskatoon. She says Saskatoon is quickly becoming a favourite destination of in-the-know travellers. She calls Saskatoon an urban oasis in the heart of the rolling prairie and a lively town with plenty of action.
