On Thursday, December 6th between 9 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon, law enforcement partners that are a part of the Saskatchewan Protection Response Team conducted a high visibility enforcement check stop at the junction of Highways 6 and 16.
The goal of the check stop was to inspect vehicles and notify drivers of the different aspects of their vehicle impacting their safety along with others on the roads.
The aspects included everything from vehicle road-worthiness to vehicle registrations.
Around 700 vehicles were inspected during the operation.
Police say 100 transgressions were identified and 20 tickets were issued.
Police add the check stop took place near Dafoe, Saskatchewan at one of the busiest intersections in the province.
