No new date for bargaining has been set at this point between the Saskatoon Co-op and UFCW Local 1400.
The union met on Sunday to review both offers and Director of Negotiations, Rod Gillies, says the membership was advised that the employer does have a right to force a vote for their last offer, but as of Monday morning that hadn’t happened.
Gillies says the union negotiating committee will accommodate anything that comes available for the employer when it comes to booking more talks.
The sticking point on both sides is a two-tier wage system.
