The frost we have experienced in Saskatchewan over the last few days has been picturesque and awe inspiring, but it’s also causing power outages in south and central Saskatchewan.
SaskPower says with frost accumulating on the electrical equipment, workers have seen numerous downed lines since Friday night.
The Crown Corporation urges to stay away from downed power lines.
They may look like they are dead, but may still be electrified.
Stay at least 10 metres away, and if someone is in danger call 911, otherwise call SaskPower’s outage line at 306-310-2220.
