Saskatchewan drivers set a record last month..for distracted driving tickets.

SGI’s Tyler McMurchy says police handed out 793 during their traffic safety focus last month.

They also handed out 69 hundred for speeding or aggressive driving, which Tyler says is also on the high-side. He says he thinks its a function of the enforcement we are seeing on Saskatchewan roads.

318 impaired drivers were caught, and police also issued 394 tickets for seat belt infractions.
