There is another BRT Engagement session pending in Saskatoon, this time it is the College Drive Come and Go next Tuesday as city residents struggle to understand how the bus rapid transit system will serve outlying areas of the city.

At a recent luncheon with business leaders Mayor Charlie Clark acknowledged there are businesses facing challenges like one Tim Horton’s franchise owner who pointed out they were having a much harder time hiring at their 51st Street location than they were at their Lawson Heights site. The Mayor’s ultimate point is that the BRT is about moving people into and out of downtown but not just about the downtown.

He says this is their chance to plan what Calgary and Edmonton wished they had done at a population of 2-hundred-70 thousand people. The meeting Tuesday is 3 p.m. at the Albert Community Centre on Clarence Avenue South.
