Counterfeit $50 and $100 bills are floating around the Battlefords. RCMP say they have received several complaints from businesses. In one case, two males tried to purchase inexpensive items at businesses with large denomination bills. Employees noticed the poor quality counterfeits before the transactions were completed. In another case, a First Nations female bought fuel with a fake $50 bill before staff realized it was phony. There are also two Caucasian males who are wanted. Police say the suspects have been identified. Anyone with information is asked to contact Battlefords RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
