Around 10 a.m. Saturday morning, Ponteix RCMP responded to a complaint of a suspicious looking item that was believed to be potentially an explosive device inside a local business.
Officers then arrived and evacuated everyone and contained the scene.
The Saskatchewan RCMP’s Explosive Disposal Unit attended and assisted.
They determined the item didn’t pose any threat.
No other suspicious items were found in the area.
Police are continuing to investigate the origin and nature of the suspicious item.
