Free flu shots become available as today in Saskatchewan. The free flu shots will be available at public health clinics, local pharmacies as well as some physician and Nurse Practitioner offices. Flu shots are recommended for those at higher risk including seniors, people with underlying chronic health conditions, children under five and pregnant women. Children under five and non-Saskatchewan residents can be vaccinated at a public health clinic. Pharmacists can administer the free flu shot to residents five years and older, and there will be a Fluzone High Dose vaccine for long term care residents 65 and older.
