Manufacturing sales in Saskatchewan were up 2.9 per cent July to August. Statistics Canada says only two provinces could beat that. The national average was a drop of 0.4 per cent. Year-to-year, Saskatchewan saw a rise of about 14 per cent. Only New Brunswick could top that. The national average was an increase of nine per cent. Saskatchewan’s manufacturing sales in August came in at $1.5 billion.
