The Saskatoon Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team has seized 27 ounces of meth packaged for distribution, 7 ounces of cocaine, 6 fentanyl pills, mixing materials, a scale and vacuum sealer and over $20-thousand in cash from a search warrant executed in the 100 block of Maningas Bend in the Evergreen neighbourhood.
Almost 24-hundred fake oxycontin pills were also seized.
Saskatoon Police say from testing, carfentanil was found in the pills.
Carfentanil is a derivative of fentanyl but can be 100 times more powerful.
Exposure to a very small amount could be fatal.
The message from police hasn’t changed.
