SWITCH is the longest running student led clinic in Canada and they decided to switch things up with their fundraising efforts with a charity Zombie Run. The Saskatoon Student Wellness Initiative Toward Community Health provides after-hours health services to residents of Saskatoon’s core neighbourhoods with services provided by mentors who work in the field, as well as students aiming to become professionals in fields like medicine and social work.
Program Coordinator Brittany Acton says the more the better but they are hoping to raise 5-thousand dollars. You can choose to be a runner or a zombie and you can register till end of the day today at their web site or show up with $40 in person in time for the run which starts at 1 p.m. Saturday at Donna Birkmaier Park. Zombies will be competing for best costume and their goal is to grab as many “life flags” as possible from the runners as they make their way through a 3 kilometres obstacle fun run.
