It’s tough enough to win back-to-back player of the week awards so what Josh Ewanchyna has done is unheard of. The Hilltops running back is the PFC offensive player of the week for the third time in a row.
He rambled for 187 yards on 22 carries with three touchdowns during last weekend’s 53-0 whipping of the Wildcats in Edmonton. The third year man from Holy Cross has totaled 830 yards in just six games, leaving him 170 shy of 1000.
Ewanchyna will lead the Toppers on to the field Sunday at home when they close out the regular season against Winnipeg. The Hilltops have a 7-0 record while the Rifles are 3-4. The game is also a preview of their PFC semi final set for Sun. Oct, 21
