Education support workers are meeting in Regina right now, talking about the impact of education cuts on student learning and support staff. The Canadian Union of Public Employees says they will also talk about coordinated bargaining and violence in the workplace. Over 100 workers are at the meeting, representing 7,000 support staff in Pre-K to12 education. That includes everyone from education assistants, administrative and clerical assistants, and bus drivers, to social workers, counselors, and interpreters. The meeting continues through Saturday.
